Teach The Teacher Project

swoosh1.png

A combination of performance/workshop for college professors and students who are interested in taking an experiential arts approach to social action and justice.

Building on three decades of success, we are inviting college professors and college students to participate in the workshop this fall 2026. The education of girls is the strongest social action and justice tool we have today—worldwide! It’s remarkable what can happen when you give someone a stage, a voice, and a forum to share their dreams. Our results speak for themselves: 100% program completion, high school graduation, and college entry.  Art is indeed a powerful force!

Teresa Gunn has been rocking the music world for over 30 years. In 1998, she founded Musicians for Education and its signature program, Street of Dreams, turning her artistry into social action and justice. In partnership with San Diego City College (A.O.D.S.), Lindsay School, and many of San Diego’s most influential artists, we provide an experiential arts education program. The Street of Dreams’ experiential teaching method welcomes artists and non-artists alike. By engaging in the creative process, we unlock a powerful path to healing—open to anyone with a heart!
